A shareholder renewed by creating a new membership with a new email. I tried to delete older email and replace with newer one, but message keeps popping up, "this email already exists in your records," even though I deleted the new membership so that I could just change the mail of the older membership while adding the this year's share choices.

When I search for the "new" email address system responds that it can't find a record, but it still won't let me substitute this newer address for the old.

    Hi Mike:

    Just remember that deleting a membership doesn't delete the users attached to the membership. So you'll need to delete that user too.

    Go to - Administrate--> Users --> Manage Users and you can find and delete that new user there. Then you should be able to go into the old membership and update the email address on the old user.
