Hi - I recently added a mailing list sign-up widget to our site, and have been getting good response. However, the only information I get is first name and email address. Is there a way to get more information when people add themselves to the mailing list?
Thanks,
Rebecca Coulter

    Hi Rebecca:

That simple mailing list widget will just ask for name and email address. You can create an online form that would ask for additional information and you can set that form to add people to a mailing list. There's no built-in widget that would integrate with the forms but you could create a custom widget that would link to the form.

Forms can be created by going to - Create Content --> Forms --> New Form.

Check that out and let us know if you have any questions about setting that up.

OK, I could follow most of what you suggested, and created a form and got it set. I also created a widget, but I can't figure out how to get it to link to the form.
    Thanks,
    Rebecca

Ok, I made the text "Get the latest farm news" link to that new form you created.

I also noticed that you had it saying "Bog" instead of "Blog" in the widget title, so I corrected that.

Great, thanks! I added a few names, and it seems to do what I wanted!
