We're having some problems with our current share members signing up for a winter share. I think it has something to do with the returning member e-mail verification thing.

If you could disable that feature that would be great.

Since you added your winter share to the current Season, the current members who would like to sign up for it are not considered "returning". There are two ways to add this new share option to your existing members account. One ways is to do this manually. Send your existing members an email announcing the Winter Share and them to contact you if they would like to sign up. Then modify their membership information by logging into the Control Panel and navigating to: Member Assembler > Members > View Members. Use the search tool to find the membership you want to edit and then use the "Types" tab to add the winter share for them. You will also then need to send a Payment Request Email which contains a convenient link to online payment as well as serves as a reminder that a membership type was added and a balance is owed.
You could also let your members do this themselves by enabling Membership Updates. This allows your members to access their own membership information and add the new share option if they want it. Here are the instructions: Allowing Membership Updates. Once you set up Membership Updates, send your existing members an email announcing the Winter Share and include the a link to the Membership Updates page. Instruct your current members to follow the link and add the Winter Share to their current membership type. Once completed, they will receive a confirmation email which will include their new balance, as well as an online payment link.

Let me know if you have any further questions about this. We can help you set up Membership Updates if you need us to.
