Hi, not sure the best way to handle it. Using Herbacious template, Mostly in Chrome, but also now it seems to be happening in Firefox where I usually am working.

http://www.bandbranch.com/

that News from the Farm area keeps ending up at the bottom left.

Thanks in advance. James

    Hi James,

That area is not slipping on my version of Chrome right now, but I see what
you mean. I'm betting it has to do with that image that is the middle
column of the homepage. It stretches across it's column and into the right
hand column. Can you resize that image so it fits within it's own column
and then see if the "news" area stays in the right place?

    Thanks Simon,

the truly depressing thing is that I put the photo down there to imitate the sample shown for our theme on your site. It's actually an attempted fix, albeit a failed one.

It used to happen, the slipping, when I came back from the Bookit site, like click through to a suite or the rentals section, and then back to the homepage. But now sometimes, on several machines, it seems to just be happening all the time.

Thanks very much for all your time and attention here. I am sort of rolling my eyes, too, cause I know this is an annoying kind of layout issue.

    Cheers - jms

    Hi James,

Sounds like you figured it out based on your email? Do you need anything
    from me to fix this?

No i haven't ctually figured it out at all. In chrome I get the nav menu only on two rows, but in Firefox by clicking through to the Book-it-now site and then back to the home page i can duplicate the dropped news menu.

Did you try adjusting that image on the home page and see if that affects the bug? We would resize it for you, but we can't duplicate the error.

I've tried the image in a whole variety of sizes, and it doesn't seem to affect the error at all, though I can see why it might appear that way. I put the image down there in response to the error, thinking maybe the error resulted from having the image at the top of the center column. And I tried to duplicate the layout as you have it in the sample site, but look !! (attachment)

I can even duplicate the error in your sample site, so I suspect it has to do with the zooming in and out that I am doing.

We adjusted that image, including the hard coding, to keep that photo within the realms of the center column; are you still getting that error?

I can duplicate the error. i went into Chrome, where on this machine I had no cache of the site.

But just with zoom cmd+ and cmd- I got it to slip again.

I copied my whole nav bar to try to give you an idea of the zoom.

Surprisingly though, it's the zoom out ( cmd - ) where it goes back to the bottom.

It's exactly the same on the BandBRanch site

Yes, when you use the browser shrink (control -) what is happening is it shrinks the right-most column until it is too small to hold the background image of the News from the Farm so it bumps it all the way out of the structure.
