Issues with members signing up

I am having some issues with our members signing up. We changed how we are using small farm central and just need to know if we should switch back to the old ways. This year we have set up 5 small CSA seasons through out the year verses two large ones. Our members love it. We wanted to offer an option to sign up for multiple seasons at once. In order to do this, we have placed all of our seasons under one large season called "True to Harvest CSA Seasons." Each mini season is a different share type. Rather than the types just being sizes, they also dictate the season.

This has been working out fine and we are able to sign them up initially for multiple seasons. The problem we are having is that once signed up, a CSA member is not able to join to a different mini season, meaning they cannot change their member type. Is there a way to change this so we can allow them to sign up at any point for any type?

    Hi Lacey:

You would need to setup the Membership Updates tool to allow them to do this. Once a member is signed up for a season, in order to be able to add share types, you need to allow this.

Go to - Member Assembler --> Members --> Membership Updates.

First click on the "Page Settings" tab there and set the updating season to your 2018 season and save.

Then go back to the "update types" tab and make sure that you have the share types that you want to allow people to add selected there.

Then you'll want to direct those already signed up and interested in adding share to login to their account by going to - and they will see an option to "update your membership" on the main page after logging in.

Let us know if you have any further questions.
