We are trying to reopen our site to allow Fall signups tomorrow and it
appears the the Sign-Up description is not showing up at the top of the
first page, unless I am missing something. Am I?

    Jonathan,

Sorry to confuse you! We have made a small change to the order that the membership sign-up pages appear. We've found that members want to see the
prices on the first page, so they can evaluate the CSA right away. It is a
turn-off to have to enter all of their personal information before they see
prices. For that reason, we have made the Membership Type the first page during the sign-up process.

What you can do is simply add your sign-up information to the Membership Type Description section so that it will show up as the first thing your new members see. You can make this change in the Control Panel here: Member Assembler > Configure > Display Settings.

Hope this makes sense. Let me know if you have any questions on this.

So does that mean that what is in the Sign-Up text box appears nowhere? If
so, are there other text boxes that are not used anymore?

This comment was split into a new discussion: Automatic charges not applied to changes in member types

And another thing. We have set up charges to assess tax depending on the
customer's type choices and pickup location. This works when they sign up
through the web page, but when I go in an manually to give an existing
customer a new type, it does not automatically add on the charge. Is this
    correct?

    Jonathan,

The new order of the sign-up pages is: Member Type > Pickup Location > Custom Form (optional) > Sign-up (this is where your member will enter their contact information into a form) > Checkout.

Nothing has been taken away. You can still add a description to your Sign-Up page. But since it is now near the end of the process, you will want to type in your introductory information on the first page (Member Type). Any description that you write will show up on the top of the page, above anything in the page that is already formatted.

If you would like to test your sign-up page as if you were a customer, visit your website and "sign-up". Later you can go into the Control Panel and delete your fake sign-up here: Member Assembler > Members > View Members.

Feel free to keep the questions coming!
