Printing labels

Hi there,

I am needing help with printing labels. We have used the same labels, and selected the Avery 5163 10/page for years, and for some reason they started printing a bit off in the past two sessions. In the first 3 rows of labels on a page, the names and addresses fit perfectly within the label sticker, however as the page goes on, the last two labels are printed above the line of the sticker (see picture). We have tried flipping the label paper and using a different printer, but they consistently print like this. Help?!

Sincerely,
Alina

Try printing the labels on plain paper and compare how they are coming out. Are they printing similarly? If not, you might try adjusting the "paper type" under your printing preferences. Depending on your printer you might have a setting for "label" or "heavyweight".

Also make sure that in the print settings you don't have things set to scale.

We use an Avery supplied template to create the labels, so they should work. Usually the problem with this is that the printer isn't pulling the sheet in far enough before printing. Changing the paper type as suggested above may help with that. You might also check your printer's manual to see if there are any other ways to adjust to correct for proper margins.

Sorry that I can't offer greater assistance. Hope this helps.
