Hi

I want to close my account. I am trying to export all of my data files and the system appears to be hung up. I also want to make sure that I get all of the information. Can you help me?

    Hi, Rob. Our developer is working on un-freezing those exports that appear to still be in progress. If you are unable to download them, try regenerating the same exports, but in smaller timeframes. If you have further questions, please get in touch. Let us know when you are ready to cancel. Any feedback you have as to why you are cancelling, that would be very helpful.

    Good morning Hannah,

    I took your advice on setting smaller timeframes and it worked...mostly.
    One of my exports is hung up since yesterday. Should I break it down even
    further or will exporting more files just clog things up more?

    Hi Rob:

    If an export doesn't complete and still shows "in progress" a day later, that means it failed to complete properly. I'd suggest trying to run the export again. You might consider breaking it down into 2 timeframes. That should help.

    Hi Hannah,

    First of all, I would like to close the account effective right away. I
    finally was able to download the information that I needed. Thank you for
    your help.

    Second, here is my feedback. We are happy customers. Small Farm Central
    worked out for us. We're closing the account because business has been
    sluggish and we are looking to cut costs. As far as the software goes,

       - The software is complicated. Too complicated, in my opinion. We used
       only a few of the features. Farmers simply don't have time to try out all
       the bells and whistles. I need something simple. We were able to take what
       we needed but, sometimes, we had to work pretty hard to find it. Perhaps a
       formal training with each customer would be a great help (rather than the
       help files) but I know this takes time and money.
       - This is a tough one because I know you can't do it. But we really
       needed to customize some things and we weren't able to do so. Every farm is
       different and every CSA is different and we all have different needs. It
       was frustrating to want to do something a particular way and not be able to.
       - Some things didn't work. Perhaps this was because we couldn't figure
       it out or we set it up incorrectly or whatever. That was frustrating and
       required extra work.
       - Customer service was excellent. When we emailed or called, someone got
       on our problem immediately and helped us find a solution. Thank you.
       - The price was reasonable. Honestly, farmers have too many expenses
       and, before we signed up, I hesitated to add another bill. In hindsight, it
       was a good value for our farm.

    That's about it. Please let me know if I need to do anything else. I hope
    that you have a wonderful holiday season.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Your comments point toward one of our biggest challenges - how do we make the software do whatever each individual farm needs it to do without making the control panel too complicated. With about 400 farms using Member Assembler now, we have to weigh the value of adding a feature versus how much more complicated that can make the setup process.

    We're glad to hear that you felt that the customer service was excellent. We pride ourselves on the quality of our support. I wish that perhaps we could have had some of these conversations earlier to see if we could have used our support in a way to help you overcome some of the obstacles you faced with the software.

    But we understand that the software doesn't work for everyone or that you may need to close the account to cut costs. I've gone ahead and disabled your account. You will not have any additional charges.

    If in the future you find that you are in a position where you want to use Member Assembler again, please get in touch. We will maintain your files for at least a couple years, so we should be able to re-start you right where you left off if we re-enable your account.

    Good morning Q,

    I just closed my account at the end of last year. When I did, you mentioned
    that you hold onto my data for awhile in the opportunity that I reconsider.
    I'm still not able to reopen the account but I am looking for some
    information.

    Specifically, I am looking to get a list of payments received during the
    4th quarter of 2015 (October 1, 2015-December 31, 2015). I need this to
    help me pay sales taxes. Can you compile that list and send it to me? I
    sure would appreciate it very much.
