We used the FarmFan text message for the first time this morning and started telling them about our reward.
Everyone seemed very pleased and excited.

Two small problem. We have a number of customers who prefer to only give us their e-mails, not their phone numbers.
1) How do I enter them into the customer database? For the most part they have a land line so text messages are a moot point.

2) Is there a way to send e-mails to these customers from FarmFan? If not, my current plan is to send an email from the market e-mail account and have them sign in on market day with staff entering their visit after market.

Hi, Linda. A person can still be a FarmFan if they don't have or want to give out their cell phone number. When you sign up a customer in admin, make sure to enter an email address, and change the phone number to a "Non-mobile" designation. This should ensure that they receive emails instead of texts, so they can still check in with the code. It wouldn't hurt to have a test account for the first week you try it out, to make sure everything looks the way you want. If someone wants to be a FarmFan, but you don't have their email address, you will need to record their checkins yourself, both at the market and in FarmFan admin, by clicking "Record Checkins."

Please do let us know how this goes for you!
